"He's running for President and if he's gonna run the country the way he ran our company I wouldn't want him in there..." Perhaps you are aware, perhaps you aren't: During the early 80's into the 90's Mitt Romney was co-founder and CEO of Bain Capital a private equity investment firm. When Romney's time at Bain comes up I often wonder how Average Jane (or Joe) would respond to hearing about the financial sector. Or even, most recently, with the loss of $2 billion in six weeks by JP Morgan Chase, wonder how much stories on the intricacies of the financial sector translates to a family of four, living on a cul de sac, with a minivan and a mortgage and kids who want Lucky Charms for three meals a day. I hate to use the phrase 'trickle down' but while, for the most part, the financial sector seems like it's in a land far far away, when it fails, it does so hard and next thing you know that family is selling their pristine suburban paradise in a short sale. Anyway...instead of calling up the memories of 2008-2009 the video below - done by the Obama campaign on Romney's time at Bain Capital did little more than to force me to scratch my head. It's well done but then I'm reminded of how little is known about Mitt Romney. Even with all of the articles and interviews and the stories about the dog on the roof and Ann's illnesses, I do not feel like I know the man. And for me, at least, that's a problem*. *even if I do know who I am voting for, I still like to know as much about the other guy as possible, or is that just me?
